The area known as Ka Lae where allegedly the Hawaiians first landed in the islands. There are numerous heiau around the area and it is the southern most part of the Hawaiian Islands. Strong currents race around this point and swimming is a no-no although it is a good fishing spot. The Green Sand beach is a walk of about half an hour from here.
